Overview

CuraChat is an AI-powered assistant built into the AllCare Nurse mobile app. It helps you quickly get answers about resident care, create tasks, update records, and access clinical information—all through a simple chat interface.
Key Benefit: Get instant AI-powered assistance while on the floor without leaving the app or interrupting your workflow.

Who Can Use This Feature

CuraChat is available to all facility staff with:
Some actions requested through CuraChat (like adding medications) may require additional permissions. The AI will inform you if an action cannot be completed due to permissions.

Quick Start

Start chatting with CuraChat in seconds:

Open the Chat Bar

Tap the chat input field at the bottom of any screen

Enter your question or request in natural language

Accessing CuraChat

From Any Screen

CuraChat is always accessible via the bottom chat bar present on most screens:
  1. Look for the text input field at the bottom of the screen
  2. Tap the field to expand the full chat interface
  3. The chat panel slides up from the bottom

From Resident Profile

When viewing a resident’s profile, CuraChat is automatically contextualized to that resident:
  1. Open a resident’s profile
  2. Tap the chat bar at the bottom
  3. Ask questions about that specific resident
  4. The AI will have context about the resident’s medications, conditions, and history
When chatting from a resident’s profile, you don’t need to specify the resident’s name—the AI already knows who you’re asking about.

Starting a New Chat

To clear the conversation and start fresh:

Open Full Chat

Expand the chat interface by tapping the chat bar

Tap Refresh

Tap the refresh icon in the top-right corner

Confirm

The chat history clears and you start a new conversation
Starting a new chat clears the current conversation history. This action cannot be undone.

Resident Context

How Context Works

When you’re viewing a specific resident’s profile:
  • CuraChat automatically knows which resident you’re viewing
  • You can ask questions without mentioning the resident’s name
  • Actions (like creating tasks) are automatically associated with that resident

If you request an action you don’t have permission for, the AI will inform you and suggest contacting your administrator.

No, CuraChat requires an internet connection to communicate with the AI service. Offline mode does not support AI chat functionality.
Conversations are maintained during your session but are cleared when you start a new chat or log out. For compliance, interactions may be logged for audit purposes.
No. CuraChat provides information and assistance, but all clinical decisions must be made by qualified healthcare professionals. Always verify AI responses with official documentation.
Make sure you’re viewing that resident’s profile when asking. If you’re on another screen, you’ll need to specify the resident’s name.
CuraChat currently supports English. Multi-language support may be available in future updates.
