Software Requirements
PDF Viewer
A PDF viewer is required for viewing reports and documents:- Adobe Acrobat Reader (recommended)
- Built-in browser PDF viewer
Optional Software
- Barcode Scanner: For medication scanning (facility/pharmacy use)
- Signature Pad: For EPCS and document signing (provider use)
- Printer: For printing prescriptions and labels
Security Requirements
Account Security
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Required for all users
- Password Requirements:
- Minimum 12 characters
- Mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
- Changed every 90 days
Device Security
- Antivirus: Active and updated antivirus software required
- OS Updates: Keep operating system up to date
- Firewall: Active firewall protection
- Encryption: Full disk encryption recommended for devices accessing PHI
Compliance Requirements
AllCare is HIPAA compliant. Users must follow organizational policies for handling Protected Health Information (PHI).
